Funkiskök Modern is a timeless kitchen interior with its clear origins in our Original modules. Here we have chosen to let the frame take up a little less space to give a more modern look. Doors and drawer fronts are rebated and have a straighter profile.

Snap latches

The doors hang on a classic, rebated hinge in nickel-plated steel. To To keep the door closed, we use snap latches that are mounted in our carpentry before delivery.

Modern with quality

In Funkiskök Modern, the upper part of the frame is the same as the side panel. This means that drawers and hatches go all the way the way up to the worktop without any wide, visible part of the frame. It gives a modern look without succumbing to craftsmanship and quality. It's our way of bringing traditional Swedish craftsmanship into the future.

Hinges

When we have a rebated door, we always install a classic rebated walking iron. In our Original and Modern kitchen ranges we have therefore chosen a nickel-plated rebated hinge in classic Proportions. We install our doors the old-fashioned way by to fold the hinge into the door but not into the frame. It does that a gap of about 2 mm is formed between the door and the frame. Then you have room for many layers of paint without the doors risking to "stick" again.

Wardrobes

Our tall cabinets in all kitchen series can also be used as wardrobes. With options such as inner drawers and clothes rail, you can create a Practical and durable storage solution in solid wood.

Colour

Functionalist kitchen Modern is always painted with the same colour frame and gap. Some customers choose 2 different shades of colour for upper cabinets and base cabinets. A bold choice that gives your kitchen a unique personality. Our Modern kitchens are painted with gloss level 20.

Solid frames and drawers

Although the exterior of our kitchens is always delivered painted, you are always greeted by solid pine inside drawers and frames. It is a living material that can be repaired, renovated and refreshed several times over. With the help of a little Sandpaper and a clear furniture oil, you can easily get a whole new feeling every time you open a cabinet or drawer.

Worktops

Our base cabinets have a depth of 585 mm. When choosing a worktop recommended at a depth of 600 mm to create 15 mm overhang at the front edge. As our tall cabinets have a depth of 600 mm A fine line is then formed with the front edge of the worktop together with the frame of the tall cabinet.

MODERN SERIES CABINETS

We have created over 60 different modules in fixed standard dimensions for our Modern kitchen series. Combine them in the way that suits you and your needs. Our kitchen modules are not stocked but are built by hand in Skåne to order. You can choose which hanging You want to have on the door as well as various predetermined options of décor in the cabinets. All dimensions of base cabinets and tall cabinets are inclusive Front plinth 120mm delivered loosely. The modules are delivered assembled and pre-painted. Mer produktfakta.

All frames, drawers and shelves are made of 20 mm solid pine. The frame is surface treated in six steps and is always hand-painted. Door and drawer fronts are made of deep milled MDF. Door and drawer fronts are spray-painted.
